A Gros Morne Backcountry Experience
Life can be hectic and we understand the importance of getting away from it all to refresh and reconnect with the things that truly matter. With this in mind, we’ve developed an off grid cabin experience that immerses our guests in a breathtaking mountain environment, encouraging a sense of true wilderness adventure and quiet unplugged relaxation.
Accessible only by snowmobile, high in the Long Range Mountains, our cabins sit at the terminus of the treeline, on a glacier carved pond. The only traffic you’ll find there is the odd snowmobiler or herd of caribou heading up towards the barrens. Staying in this private wilderness location provides guests with a true mountain experience while participating any of winter experiences
Spend your days exploring the trails and your evenings around the warm crackling wood stove
All INCLUSIVE MULTI-DAY PACKAGES
Many guests choose to package their winter experiences with a stay in our warm and rustic off grid cabins. Staying in this private wilderness location is a chance to unplug and get back to what really matters whilst turning your winter adventure into an exciting multi-day backcountry experience. Cabin packages are all inclusive and include all meals, equipment, tours and custom evening activities like a winter bonfire, epic stargazing and night adventures.
FULLY GUIDED YET FULLY PRIVATE
Packages include an on site guide during your entire backcountry cabin experience. Guests will have the cabin to themselves and complete privacy; the guide is nearby at another cabin a few minutes down the pond. In most of Gros Morne there is little to no cell service however guests will have a connection with our guides via radio or satellite communication device if there’s anything we can help with.
The cabins are ideally located in the heart of the best riding conditions in Western Newfoundland & Gros Morne. Our cabins have direct trail access to the groomed snowmobile trail network, the Lomond Sinkhole, North Arm Hills, Western Brook Pond and more. We even have our own “bowl” located within walking distance from the cabins.
