Bonne Bay Zodiac Boat Tour

Discover the big and beautiful bay like never before with an experiential Zodiac adventure through the two connecting fjords that make up the aquatic heart of Gros Morne National Park. Experience the rich history and culture of the area while learning first-hand the geological process that shaped this remarkable area and provided the foundation for Gros Morne’s UNESCO designation.

Immerse yourself in the area as we get hands on pulling ashore visiting forgotten coves, resettled communities and exploring remote beaches only accessible by boat. Discover the unique marine life that call Bonne Bay home as we stop in a few of our favourite areas to peer overboard and see what’s hanging around under the boat.

Whales, porpoises, caribou and moose reside in many of the areas we visit and are often seen during this one of a kind Gros Morne Zodiac adventure.

Our Bonne Bay Explorer Zodiac adventure takes place in an open Zodiac boat, and depending on weather conditions guests may get lightly sprayed with water as we navigate throughout the fjords and should plan accordingly. This is all part of the fun and a great way to beat the heat after a hard day morning hike!!

During the Bonne Bay Explorer Zodiac adventure we'll land on shore to explore some of Gros Morne's remote beaches and wooded areas. Guests WILL get their feet wet during this experience and must plan ahead and wear footwear suitable for this hands on activity. However, guests not wanting to leave the boat during our beach landings will be free to stay aboard during the trip.

Other Details

Suggested Equipment

As you’ve already heard, Newfoundland weather can be unpredictable and conditions can vary greatly throughout the day. Even in the hottest months of summer in Newfoundland can be quite cool. We suggest guests check the weather and dress accordingly for it. You may want to take a day pack with water and a snack, a rain/waterproof jacket, semi-warm sweater and comfortable sturdy footwear suitable for an open boat adventure.

Weather Cancellation Policy

The weather in Newfoundland can change frequently and at Wild Gros Morne we check the weather more than most people check their Email. Experiences may be adjusted or cancelled if necessary to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.
