Easy to Difficult

Planning on hiking the Trout River Pond trail this summer? Well, we’ve got some good news for you. Wild Gros Morne is now offering a drop off service for those explorers who plan on conquering Gros Morne's "fan favourite" hiking trail. Near the end of the Tablelands Boat Tour we will drop you off at the trail head providing you with ample time to hike back to the parking area. With no worry or rush, you can take your time and enjoy those amazing mountain views.

This easy to moderate trail winds its along Trout River Pond day the south side of the Tablelands through shaded boreal forests and wind swept serpentine barrens. The trail provides magnificent views of the Tablelands and the glacier carved valley of the pond, including the  "Narrows" where two ponds meet. This 14km trail (return) traditionally takes 5-6 hours but with our water taxi you can cut that time in half while still getting to discover this remarkable trail. The added experience of being dropped off by a boat will be sure to provide an additional touch of excitement to your hike.
